Leakage audits
Water-saving and Leakage Audits
Leaks at pump seals, valve glands, flanges and joints waste water, energy and money, and can become a safety or housekeeping problem. Globseals can discuss water-saving and leakage reviews with customers who want to identify leaking points and plan corrective parts. The scope of each review is confirmed when you enquire.
- Find leaking points
- Seals, packing, gaskets
- Corrective parts planning
- Scope per enquiry
The problem: small leaks with large costs
Dripping glands, weeping flanges and seeping pump seals are easy to ignore. Over months they waste treated water, raise pumping costs and cause corrosion or slip hazards. Many sites lack a record of where leaks are or what they cost.
What we do
We can discuss a structured review of leaking points on pumps, valves, flanges and pipe joints, and recommend corrective parts. Typical fixes involve mechanical seals, compression packing, flange gaskets, O-rings and valve spares. Where filtration or water quality is part of the picture, see filtration and water treatment products.
This page does not promise measured savings or specific results. Any assessment is limited by access, information and the condition of equipment. For potable water duties, the correct materials need technical review and the correct certification documents.
How the process works
How a leakage review enquiry works
- Describe the site. Tell us the type of site, equipment and the leaks you know about.
- Share records and photos. Maintenance logs, photos and flow or pressure readings help.
- Identify likely causes. We discuss likely causes at each point, such as worn seals, poor installation or wrong material.
- Plan corrective parts. A list of seals, gaskets and packing is drawn up and quoted.
- Follow-up. Review progress and recurring leak points over time.
What to send us
Please send:
- A list or map of known leaking points
- Equipment make, model and approximate age
- Medium, temperature and pressure at each point
- Photos of each leak
- Existing spares and maintenance records
Maintenance planning options are on our planned maintenance and reliability support page.

Frequently asked questions
Will this deliver set water savings?
No savings figure is promised. Results depend on the site and the corrective work carried out.
Do you measure flow or pressure?
Any measurement approach is discussed per enquiry. You can also share readings you already have.
Which leaks are most common?
Pump seals, valve glands and flange joints are frequent sources, but every site differs.
Can you supply the corrective parts?
Yes, the parts identified can be quoted.
Is this suitable for potable water systems?
Potable water requires technical review and the correct certification documents.
