Farm and irrigation
Seals and Pump Spares for Agriculture and Irrigation
Farms rely on pumps, irrigation systems, tractors and implements that often work far from the nearest workshop. A leaking pump seal or hydraulic cylinder can stop irrigation or planting at the worst moment. Globseals helps farmers, irrigation contractors and agricultural workshops identify and source pump seals and spares, hydraulic and oil seals, filtration products and fittings.
- Irrigation pump seals
- Borehole pump spares
- Tractor hydraulic seals
- Pivot gearbox oil seals

Sealing challenges in agriculture and irrigation
Agricultural sealing problems usually come from water quality, dirt and long idle periods. Typical issues include:
- Borehole and river water carrying sand that wears pump seals, impellers and wear rings
- Pumps that stand idle out of season and leak or seize when restarted
- Centre pivot wheel gearboxes where water and mud get past oil seals
- Tractor, loader and implement hydraulic cylinders working in dust and mud
- Sprayers and fertigation systems handling agrochemicals that attack some elastomers
- Screen, disc and media filters whose seals and O-rings are disturbed at every clean

How to select the right part
For pumps handling sandy water, harder face combinations are typically considered, and the elastomer must suit any chemicals injected into the line. For hydraulics, the oil type and the condition of the rod are the main factors. These are typical starting points only; always confirm against the manufacturer's data for your application.
Information that speeds up a correct recommendation:
- Pump make, model and nameplate details
- Water source and any fertiliser or chemicals injected
- Cylinder rod and bore sizes, or seal kit numbers
- Shaft size and seal markings for gearbox seals
Technical and identification support
A clear photo of the pump nameplate is the quickest way to identify a pump seal. For cylinders and gearboxes, measure the old seal or note the numbers moulded on it. If you send a sample, include a note of the machine it came from.
If you are unsure what you have, start with find my seal, upload a drawing, or read about our technical support.
Procurement and ordering
Planning spares before the season helps avoid downtime when irrigation demand peaks. We can quote a list for all pumps and pivots on a farm in one go. Couriers to farms are quoted per order, and our pump repairs and refurbishment service covers pumps that need more than a seal. Availability is confirmed per enquiry.
Globseals offers three ways to buy: buy online where a confirmed price is shown, request a quote for custom, bulk or unpriced items, or ask for technical review when identification is unresolved. Call 011 079 6033, WhatsApp 079 508 0989 or email info@globseals.com.
