Elastomer choice in water purification is driven mostly by the disinfectant and the cleaning chemicals. As a general guide, EPDM is often considered for water and many cleaning solutions, while NBR can be less tolerant of chlorine and ozone; FKM and other compounds are sometimes chosen for specific chemical duties. These are typical starting points only; always confirm against the manufacturer's data for your application.

For membrane housings, send the vessel make, diameter and pressure rating, plus a photo of the end cap. For pumps, a nameplate photo and the worn seal are usually enough to start. Filter housing seals are best identified from the housing model or a measured cross-section.
