Mechanical Seals
A gasket is a mechanical seal that fills the space between two mating surfaces, generally to prevent leakage from or into the joined objects while under compression. Gaskets come in many different designs based on industrial usage, budget, chemical contact and physical parameters.
Rotary Oil Seals
Rotary shaft seals are used throughout the automotive industry, power transmission and general industry in many diverse applications. Wherever a bearing is used there will in most cases be a rotary shaft seal of some type to seal the bearing and prevent the ingress of dirt, water and other contaminants.
Cartridge Seals
Mechanical Cartridge Seals are pre-assembled package of seal components making installation much easier with fewer points for potential installation errors to occur. They come in many forms including Single, Double, Face to Face Double, Tandem Double, and Gas Service Cartridge Seals.
PTFE O Rings
P.T.F.E. is an extremely inert material and is unaffected by virtually every known chemical including almost all acids, alkalis and solvents. These exceptional properties make P.T.F.E. an ideal material for O Ring Back up Rings. It’s cold flow characteristics under permanent strain are usually a disadvantage in PTFE O Rings

Are the easiest seal for a mechanic to install. Only being required to slide onto the pump shaft and bolt to the pump gland, the cartridge seal cannot be miss installed.

Installation of single spring, metal bellows or multiple spring seals require much more effort to be sure of an effective long lasting seal. Ask your Global Seals & Packing sales representative for installation directions.
Inflatable seal Seals that inflate and deflate in three basic directions of operation: the axial direction, the radial-in direction, and the radial-out direction. Each of these inflation directions has their own set of performance parameters for measurements such as the height of inflation and the center-line bend radius that the seal can negotiate.

Globseals rubber expansion joints are primarily used to :

A mechanical seal is not a complex device. It consists primarily of a rotary seal face with a driving mechanism which rotates at the same speed as the pump shaft, a stationary seal face which mates with the rotary and is retained using a gland or in some pump models an integral stuffing box cover, a tension assembly (utillizing springs or a metal bellows) keeps the rotary face firmly positioned against the stationary face preventing, excluding, and containing contamination and leakage, both when the pump is not in operation and when the pump shaft is rotating. Static sealing gaskets, orings or elastomeric bellows are strategically located to complete the seal assembly.
